Adawnage Band is a vibrant unit of energetic individuals from different established professional backgrounds who have come together with the sole purpose of reaching out to the world with positive, electric, realistic and inspirational music. The inception of the band was ordained since they came together after having separately and individually tried to make it on their own, each coming too close but not quite.

Background
They are a contemporary Christian band based in Nairobi, Kenya. Adawnage was birthed on May 28th, 2008 through prayer, fellowship, dedication, discipline, commitment, humility and hard work. What comes from the heart goes to the heart and that is why their music continues to touch the hearts of many. They believe that change can happen and thus aspire to be the instruments of change in their generation.
They released their debut album album ‘Safari’ – The Journey in December, 2010. The ‘Safari’ album comprises 10 songs and is a depiction of the journey that the band has taken since they started, and the challenges and inspirations they have encountered through their walk with God and in their musical journey.
The band members came together after having separately and individually tried to make it on their own, each coming close but not close enough. All this changed when they merged and Adawnage was born. It is for this reason that they have made it their goal to aid upcoming Christian bands in their start-up years, coaching them through the steps and helping them lay firm foundations.

Awards
They were nominated as Group of the Year in the KISIMA Awards 2011, Groove Awards 2011 and 2012, Mwafaka Awards 2011 and 2012 and Africa Gospel Music Awards (AGMA). They managed to scoop the Group of the Year 2012 in the Groove Awards 2012.
