Amileena Mwenesi is a Kenyan musician and songwriter. She is also a tusker project fame season 5 finalist . Amillena is known for her hit song “why”.She was born in Nairobi but she has no recollection of her childhood as she left the country for South Africa as a child.
Education
She went to school in South Africa and when she came back, she moved to Mombasa.For her high school she went to British International College, Jo’burg. Afterwards she studied Hospitality and Operation Management at the International Hotel School in South Africa and graduated in 2009.
TPF4 and Music Career
Her music career started after she left TPF4. Amileena spent most of her life in South Africa and, to make ends meet, took on odd jobs while in college. She worked as a waitress, a housekeeper and a baby sitter.
“I did this while I was in college. I needed to make that extra cash because as a girl there are a lot of things that you need and the pocket money you get from your parents is never enough,” she told
NairobiNews.
Amileena has no regrets about her past and says she loves babies and would baby sit any time.
