B.M.G Biography
B.M.G (Baraka) grew up in a small Kenyan village north of Mombasa with his mum and 2 sisters. He started to follow a local band who sung about social issues and problems in Kenya introducing him to the local music scene. B.M.G was inspired and named by his late cousin and together they formed Coolbees with 3 other family members. They wrote their first song, “Swali” but had to save enough money working as a fisherman to be able to travel to Mombasa to get it produced.
This made B.M.G want to follow his boyhood dream to become a performer and after following a mobile disco around the Mombasa coast managed to get a trainee DJ position at a large hotel in Mombasa. B.M.G worked at the hotel for 4 years still trying to write and make music,In 2011 he wrote “Let me be the one,S.E.N.T.I.D.O,MY SUN,MTEJA AND CRY FOR LIFE.
