Judie Kaberia was born on 14th November 1982 in Meru county. She is an associate editor at capital Fm. She is also a local coordinator for Wayamo foundation.

January 2015: Best Distance Learning Dissertation Award, University of Leicester,University of Leicester
The dissertation based on the Hierarchy-of-influences theory investigated factors that affect political reporting in Kenya won the best dissertation award.

May 2013: Annual Journalists Excellence Awards (AJEA) Best Digital Journalism Award 2013, Media Council of Kenya.
The Feature Marsabit Women and their life of hardship won the best award in the category of digital media – combination of video, words, audio and photography.

November 21, 2010: Book: Justice and Peace in the Kenyan Eye, German Embassy, Nairobi

  • The booklet published by the German Embassy in Kenya incorporated a media training conference on conflict sensitive reporting based on ICC and what Kenyans perceived it to be before investigations into the 2007/2008 Post Election Violence began.
