Anto Neosoul popularly known as Anto by his friends, his real name is Antony Mwangi was born in 1985 and hails from a humble background having been brought up in Kawangware, Kenya.Anto Neosoul is undoubtedly one of Kenya’s finest, keenest and East Africa’s most sought after Neo Soul Vocalist and Musician.
Education
Anto Neosoul attended at Lavington Primary School and later joining Upper Hill School for his High School education; where he got his first goatee, and later enrolled for A level Studies in Uganda. Also, Anto is an Alumni of the University of Nairobi where he went to study for Broadcast Journalism.
Music Career
Anto Neosoul whose performance on stage is second to none, discovered and started singing back when he was at his tender age of 6 years. Remarkably, at only 9-12 years he performed for the retired Kenyan president Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi and also enjoyed an invitation to perform a private ceremony for then Cardinal Maurice Otunga (RIP) but his first paid performance was at Museum Hill where he was paid Ksh. 200 bob only.
Antoneosoul music has a strong Jazz influence with a blend of a hearty dash of Afro and neosoul and has been aptly described as high on melody, rhythm and harmonies, with his debut album STARBORN aptly describing Anto’s premier onto the world stage and one of the leading revolutionaries enchanting music lovers with a sound that has been described as ‘The fresh export of the world’.

Anto Neosoul a social entrepreneur, an event MC is popularly known for his acting role in Africa’s biggest most successful Youth TV show and first series of Shuga as ‘Kennedy the Remedy’, and as ‘Bob’ in the local Soap Opera Siri. Also has hosted a highly successful Teen Lifestyle TV show on Kenya’s NTV broadcast all over East Africa, Teen Republik. Currently, Anto radio host for the late night show on the newly rebranded Nation Fm.
