Kenneth Ambani was born in Busia county and raised in Bakarani in Mombasa county . He is an actor who is popularly known as Baraza a name he acquired for the role he played in ‘Tausi’.

Kenneth Ambani Acting Career

He says that he started acting in class three, he even won a stage actor’s award. While in form three he did a South African play ‘My People and Chains’ at Chandaria Hall in Mombasa. He won the Best Actor’s Award at national level.

His first TV gig was a minor role in Tushauriane, a local play in KBC.
He started a play with friends, Fate Makers, which was the first ever English play which ran for 13 episodes.
In 1992, he was invited to work for Posta and he has worked with them since then.

He has also played in the local play Tausi, Tushauriane, Wingu la Moto, Makutano Junction, Block D, Shuga, Mali, Siri, Saints, Dilema, Binti Nusa, Kisasi, Naliaka is going, Cobra Squad, Twisted, Noose of Gold

His father(Mzee Ambani) was a Maragoli, while his mother(Mary Wanjiru) was a half caste between a Kikuyu and Briton. His father passed on while he was a toddler and was raised by his mother and step father.

His step father(Mohammed Hassan) was a muslim and he grew up in a muslim environment but he did not abadon his christian faith.

He has three children; The mother of his daughter died while the mother of the other two daughters they parted ways when they saw the relationship wasn’t working out.
